Who we are
Oban & District Development Trust was set up to empower local people to shape a stronger, greener, and more prosperous future for Oban - through community ownership, local enterprise, and community-led development.
We've already taken our first step. In February 2026, we bought the Re_Store shop building at 113 George Street, securing it for the community for good.
We're only as strong as our membership. The more local people who join us, the more we can achieve - and the more attractive our projects become to funders and partners.
Membership is free and open to everyone in Oban, Dunbeg, Connel, Kilmore and Kilbride.
Our First AGM
We’re delighted to invite members of the Oban & District Development Trust to our first Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday 24 September, in the Main Hall at the Corran Halls, Oban.
This is an important milestone for ODDT as we look back on our first year, including the highlight of purchasing 113 George St. that houses Re_Store. We will formally elect our Board and look ahead to the Trust’s next stage of development.
The AGM will include:
A welcome and review of the Trust’s first year
Presentation of the Annual Accounts
Election of Board members
Other formal AGM business
Following the AGM, we’ll hold a Community Gathering, giving members and the wider community an opportunity to hear more about our plans and contribute to the development of ODDT’s future.
